QAT Flow (B)

QAT Flow is a business process management solution written with AllFusion™ Gen. This product enables seamless integration with AllFusion Gen applications and provides a dual purpose engine for the IT community and the business community.

For the IT Community

QAT Flow is a robust integration platform that allows IT to publish consumable services (i.e. Gen Action Blocks or Web Services) to the QAT Flow process engine allowing for a visual orchestration of these services into meaningful business processes. Multiple step processes with robust features, including decisions, switches, branching, multi-path executions and re-routing can use graphically designed and interpretively executed.

For the Business Community

QAT Flow allows for the graphical definition, interpretive execution of complex work flows, including interactive data collection without IT developed windows. These work flows can be fully developed and implemented by the business community and can consume IT supplied services with the proper authorization.

Main Benefits

• QAT Flow provides a solution that allows the business managers to develop and manage the complex business processes while still allowing IT the ability to publish and control the services required to protect the performance and integrity of the enterprise databases they maintain.
• Enhances communication and productivity between the business and IT communities by allowing each entity to control the appropriate parts of the business process. The business community controls the overall sequence of the business process and IT controls the services used to implement the processes.
• Continuous and rapid business process improvements.
• Interoffice slowdowns are eliminated or quickly identified for review. Statistical analysis of the process data will also help identify where efficiencies can be found to reduce contentions and improve overall efficiencies.
• Enforced accountability where necessary.

Meisner IT

xTrace er en erstatning for AllFusion Gens eget trace værktøj, som tilbyder en række af muligheder som ikke findes i dag, for eksempel:

- Trace af batch applikationer

- Definition af breakpoints

- GUI klient

Funktionerne i xTrace gennemgås og der afsluttes med en demo.

KMD

Enkelte projekter på KMD har gennem det sidste år anvendt xTrace og med den seneste version er værktøjet nu bredt ud i hele organisationen.

KMD gennemgår deres erfaringer ved at anvende denne form for trace værktøj.

QAT Publisher (3)

QAT Publisher enables the publication of information contained in AllFusion™ Gen applications to the format of your choice, including HTML, PDF, Word, Excel, RPT (Chrystal Reports). You choose the format that is right for your business. QAT Publisher does this in a seamless integration with AllFusion Gen and without external action blocks. Action diagrams are generated from QAT Publisher. These action diagrams leverage Custom Gen Functions that create xml files used to format the reports with either custom style sheets (for HTML, PDF, Word and Excel) or with Crystal Reports depending on the desired format.

Main Features

· Generates 100% of the AllFusion™ Gen action diagram code necessary to publish information to XML and apply the desired format.

· No external action blocks required.

· Generate a default style sheet to transform data from an XML file to the selected media type.

· Delivered as an AllFusion™ Gen plug-in for seamless integration.

· Wizard-like interview guides the process of selecting the entities and attributes from the AllFusion™ Gen model to be applied to the publication.

Tools & Techniques to unlock your Encyclopedia (4)

This year Response Systems celebrates its 11th year of delivering
productivity solutions to its customers. During this session, they will
outline its plans for the future. This includes presenting the new GUI
interface that is being adapted for the host encyclopedia and also
demonstrating new PAD update features that will be available to all existing
customers.

There will also be an introduction to the new release of its mainframe
software including support for the code generation process in the host
development environment. Both existing customers and people unfamiliar with
Response Systems' software are welcome and will discover new techniques to
increase productivity regardless of development methodology.

Gen Release 7.0 workshop (5)

I AllFusion GEN release 7  bruger de genererede z/OS-programmer DLLer. Det betyder, at (næsten) alt skal re-installeres (compile & linkedit).
Vi mener det stiller os i en umulig situation.

• Skal vi ud i et meget dyrt og risikabelt re-installations-projekt, som ingen forretningsmæssig værdi har for kunden ?
• Må vi blive på release 6.5 ?
• Er der andre muligheder, som vi bare ikke har gennemskuet ?
• Skal GEN-brugerne blot acceptere dette, eller skal der lægges pres på CA for at værktøjet ændres, så re-compile ikke er nødvendigt ?

Vi tror og håber, at det ikke kun er os, som ser dette som et stort problem.
Vi kan ikke alene overtale CA til at ændre produktet, så re-installation ikke er nødvendig, men måske kan en enig brugegruppe trænge igennem.

Hvad er applikationsarkitektur ?

Hvorfor applikationsarkitektur ?

Der findes ingen standard definition på applikationsarkitektur og muligheden for at vi på 45 min. finder den ultimative sandhed er ikke til stede.

Tiden vil blive brugt til at udveksle forskellige ideer til hvordan applikationsarkitektur defineres hos forskellige virksomheder og hvorfor man arbejder med applikationsarkitektur. Coop og Nykredit vil give en kort gennemgang af hvordan de definerer og arbejder med applikationsarkitektur. Andre virksomheder er også velkommen til at give en gennemgang af deres definition og arbejde med applikationsarkitektur.

Oplæggene vil blive brugt som udgangspunkt for en diskussion af hvad applikationsarkitektur er og hvorfor det er relevant at bruge tid på applikationsarkitektur.
